When we went out to shoot Shirley and Rich’s engagement session, it was the first time we had met in person.  They are living in New York right now and had found me through a referral from one of Rich’s instructors who happens to be one of my wife’s long time friends (think high school).  So as with any first meeting, there is always that little bit of apprehension but that soon went away since Shirley and Rich are a fun and gracious couple.  When we discussed their session before they had indicated that they might want to try shooting in the Haight Ashbury.  I of course thought that was a great idea, as I love when couples choose different areas of the city for their session.  For those not familiar with San Francisco, it is a city that is so full of texture and character that I just feel you could go down any street and find something fantastic to photograph.  Well their wedding is coming up in a couple of weeks so of course I am really looking forward to seeing them again.  From the little details I know of it sounds like it will be a day to remember and I am honored that I will get tobe there to record it.
